About Me
Palani Ave is a brand I created to share my love for fashion — especially one-of-a-kind pants. I grew up playing designer with my Mom’s fabrics and still hold onto vintage patterns passed down from my Nana. Creating Palani Ave has helped me reconnect with that part of myself and finally do something that feels true to me. Each pair is made from pre-loved materials and carries its own story — reimagined, reworked, and ready for a new life. I'm constantly inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of Hawai’i and I hope these pants reflect that.
The Brand
The name comes from the street I’ve lived on since moving to Hawai‘i. Palani Ave was always the hangout spot — filled with friends, creativity, and so many memories. This brand is a tribute to those moments and the people who’ve supported me along the way (Hula Chi Forever☺). It’s about community, comfort, and making things that feel personal. Thank you for being part of the journey.
The Process
I don’t follow just one style — each piece starts with what I find while thrifting or from local fabric stores here on Oʻahu. I look for comfortable shorts with elastic waists or drawstrings (unless I’m working with denim), then pair them with fabrics that catch my eye. I mix, match, measure, cut, and sew, often combining two or three fabric sections for straight, wide, or flared styles. Every pair is unique, made with intention, creativity, and a commitment to making fashion a little more sustainable <3.
